Pin Challenge

Yes, I'm back again with another post for today!  And the reason is because we have another FUN inspiration photo from {Pin}spirational Challenges and would love for you to come on over and enter.  You have a chance to WIN.  Our sponsor is Di's Digis!

Since tomorrow is the 4th of July, I saw only red, white, and blue after looking at the inspiration photo.  I actually saw some yellow in it too - and of course the little sail boats, clouds, etc....so you could do several different things with this inspiration photo.  I used my brand new stamp The Open Sea from SU.  The stars at the bottom are actually just a strip of DP that I had in my stash.

The ribbon......I'm not even sure where this came from or why I've never used it before. It's amazing what you can find when you clean up the craft room!  Getting that stuff to stick in a pleat like that is just not happening with me!!  I tried the red sticky tape first - oops, popped up.....ok, tried the glue dots....same thing.

The only solution I could come up with was SUPER GLUE!!  LOL!  Now I just have to tell you, I love that stuff!  Hubby can have his duct tape but I'll take super glue any day of the week!  But here's what happened:

Lynn:  Jim, I'm stuck to my craft table
Jim:  I know, dear
Lynn: No, I'm really STUCK in here
Jim: YES, I KNOW - but you love it so much
Lynn: (several unprintable words.......) Get your butt in here and help me!

Yes, my fingers stuck to the table and I was afraid to pull them off and leave all the skin behind! Next time I won't be so lazy and I'll get out the glue gun!

Here's the cute photo for your inspiration!

I'll enter this in the challenges at Love to Create (stars and stripes), Card Making Mamas (red, white, and blue), Craft Punked (American Independence Day), Stamping with the Dragon (red, white, and blue), and Incy Wincy Designs (patriotism - colors from your country).

Thanks for stopping by........and be sure and hop on over to the {Pin}spirational Challenge blog!

Love that story, Lynn! I have visions of hubby searching all over the house for nail polish remover to use on your fingers to free them fro the glue. lol
Fantastic card! Big sailing ships rival lighthouse images for me, and I've only ever seen one IRL. Great job on the ribbon.

I'd never thought of stamping the ship on the globe! If this isn't a DUH moment! I tried pleating ribbon once. It held until the picture was taken and then it totally fell apart. Yours sure looks pretty on this card!

Hahahahaha...Sorry, but I had to laugh! He probably thought you finally realized your addiction to crafting and were asking for an intervention! So glad you are ok and your fingers are still intact!
LOVE this card! The star paper, ribbon (still smiling), and image are the perfect combination for a patriotic card! I realize making that pleated ribbon was a bit 'sticky', but it is gorgeous!!
