Pickled Pumpkin in a Jar

WooHoo....Time for another Shopping Our Stash challenge and we have a FUN one starting today!  Our theme is Out of the Jar - what that means is this......Use anything that came in a jar (flower soft, glitter, perfect pearls, embossing powder, etc) OR use a jar image OR make something using a jar (decorated).  A lot of choices so be sure and play along - and use up some of that stash!!!  Check out the blog for all the inspiration from the DT too!

If you've been following my blog for a while you might remember that in the spring I do a lot of gardening and canning.  I've canned green beans, okra, tomatoes, hot sauce, jelly, pickles, etc.....I've also pickled my share of stuff too - however, I've NEVER pickled pumpkin!  I've never ever canned pumpkin because the fact of the matter is that I HATE pumpkin!!! LOL!   But, I do like these tiny little pumpkins in a jar for fall!  The card stock and DP are from SU, as is the image of the jar and sentiment.  The little pumpkins were part of some old unknown DP that I've had forever.  I cut them out and "placed" them in the jar.  I then stamped the jar image again on some clear stuff that came on a nestie package and placed it on top to give it more of a shine like a real jar would have.  The jar is a fun image to have since you can put just about whatever you want "inside" it!

I'll be back in a few minutes for my {Pin}spirational Challenge post.

Thanks for stopping by..........
Lynn

This one came out fantastic. What a great idea to use the packaging for your jar. Ohhhh, you're good. I laughed out loud when I saw your white dashes around your banner and circle this morning, because, for some reason, I had a dream last night that I was putting white dashes on everything. Your jar top is so life like - - - As a coworker of mine used to say, You Done Good! Have a great day.

Pumpkins in a jar... cute idea and wow, I love that paper you've used and the sentiment stamped in orange.

Fantastic job fussy cutting all those pumpkins! Love all the orange and white. Although orange is a color I use only in the fall and even then mostly on Halloween cards, I could learn to love it looking at this combo. I've never heard of pickled pumpkin, either, but if you want them on a card, then you certainly can have them. :-D

Beautifully deigned card Lynn! Genius to place some clear packaging over the image! Love the twine tied on the lid! Great details on this card!

Haha, so you don't love pumpkins either... my hubby doesn't but I don't mind them in small measure. I had a pasta with bits of pumpkin and feta cheese along with mild red chillies and lemon and it tasted just superb.
The jar looks awesome and what a brill idea to cut out the pumpkins from a DP. Twine matches perfectly.

Love,
M

peter piper picked a peck of pickled pumpkins... but none of them was HALF as fabulous or adorable as these little guys; what a lovely card!!! ♥♥♥

(and for the record, i hate pumpkin, too, unless it's really well disguised like in pumpkin BREAD or something of that sort; oh or saladworks has a really great pumpkin viniagrette dressing. i'm always shocked by how many new pumpkin flavored things there are each fall... pumpkin *LATTE*???!?!?! seriously, who thought THAT up??! and yet it's realllllllllly popular, lol, so what do i know! for now i will stick with loving the pumpkins ON YOUR BEAUTIFUL CARD!!!) :) :) :)

This is so cute! I'm with you-not a fan of pumpkin either. I can choke down pumpkin pie but if I have to have it, I prefer it in cake or something where I don't taste it.
