No Rain and Rambo

It's been a while since I've posted a card and almost forgot how to do it!  Yikes!!!  I finally sat down yesterday afternoon though and was determined I'd slap something up here.

Ok, I started out with the image, figured out what design I was going to use, and picked out some  paper.....NO problem.......I was scooting along pretty good with the whole thing and then GLUE got involved!!!  Not good!  I hate glue with a passion!  I was attempting to paper piece the boots and umbrella - glue went everywhere - tried to pull it up - made a bigger mess...........and had to start all over!  So, this super simple card turned into an all day affair!!  I did get some yellow polka dot paper pieced on the umbrella and boots though!

I used this same sentiment recently - but if you live in Texas and happen to see a couple of drops of rain you'll have complete happiness!!!  I'd be so excited I'd probably want to strip off all my clothes and go running through the rain!  LOL!  Not going to happen with this old lady though!

While I was outside getting a picture of my card, Rambo happened to stand half way still so thought I'd let you see how handsome he is (and also see the dead grass)!  Don't you just love that nasty bone he's got!!

Thanks for stopping by................
Lynn

Rambo is as cute as your card! I am with you on glue....but usually if my glue is out that means glitter is too and UGH...always a mess!

Your PI is done up so nicely with her matching boots and bumber-shoot! And her blue slicker is colored marvelously!!

The big storm blew through Texas last night and we didn't get a drop of rain either!!

I love this sweet card so beautifully paper pieced and your handsome Rambo!!

I hate it when you have a card all planned and something ruins it completely. I speak from a lot of experience in the matter. Your card did come out adorable and your paper piecing is perfect (not a fav. of mine to do). Love that little button with the flower. Rambo - Just a cute as I pictured him. My babies toys look worse than his, so your doing good. I end up having to put them in the washing machine, how bad is that. Hope you get some needed rain soon. Enjoy your week.

Hello, dear. Have been wondering where you've been off to. Glad to see a card from you, and what a cute one it is. Sorry about the glue, but glad you didn't give up! Future FYI - make a puddle of glue (small) on a piece of wax paper and apply the glue to your object with a toothpick. You can pick up small dabs and control where you put it much easier that way -- less chance of glue warfare happening.

Anyhoo, darling image; great card! Glad you are back!

I'm not sure which is more adorable, Lynn, the card or Rambo. The card is a perfect spring card and I really love the flower and button. On the other hand, Rambo never requires any glue so perhaps he would win on that account alone! Have a happy one. :-D

RAMBO IS SO CUTE! Aw :) And the best toys are all nasty, Mom, dont'cha know? The grosser-looking the better!
For all that effort you'll love your card even more (and add another couple of boooooooos to the Glue column.) If you use a clean white eraser you can often get the grey smudge of extra glue off - it works for glue pen ooze & Tombow & Zip Dry, so it's worth a shot :)

Oh yes - that glue that creeps everywhere - it attacks here too! Love the results though, even if it was the second attempt.
My back lawn is now looking a bit better that yours - since we have had some rain you can almost see the grass growing!

Enjoyed the glue story (were you spying on me??? One that works fairly well for me, is the Aleene's Easy Flow, which I put into a smaller needle nose bottle. The little glue pens work pretty well too. I don't do paper piecing---yet!). Loved the card too. This little waif was so appealing. Color combo so bright & cheery. Well, on to Rambo. He's quite a guard dog, looks very much 'on-duty'. Cute guy ...very spiffy in his bright blue collar! TFS

Now isn't this just the cutest! Sweet image and I like the button in the flower and that pretty piece of ribbon.
Rambo is a dude dog! His name is perfect when you see him... he's not a primpy, prissy little piece of fluff... no sireee, he's a dude!
